Questions and answers

Everything fleets ask before the first job

How coverage works, how we quote, what we will and will not do, and what happens if something needs to change.

Service and coverage

Do you come to us, or do we bring the vehicle in?
We come to you. Volgram is a mobile operation — our technicians work at your yard, your jobsite or on the roadside. There is no walk-in shop location and no waiting for a bay to open up.
What area do you cover?
Atlanta and Metro ATL. If you are just outside the metro, call and we will tell you honestly whether we can reach you in a useful timeframe.
Are you really available 24/7?
Emergency and roadside dispatch runs around the clock, every day. Scheduled work such as maintenance programs and non-urgent repairs is booked into daytime windows.
What kinds of vehicles do you work on?
Commercial and fleet vehicles: Class 6-8 tractors and straight trucks, trailers, refrigeration units, motorcoaches, and construction or yard equipment. We also cover heavy-duty pickup platforms including Duramax, Cummins and Power Stroke.
Do you work with individual owner-operators or only large fleets?
Both. Our work is business-to-business — fleet managers, shops and commercial operators — and that includes an owner-operator running a single unit under their own authority.

Pricing and payment

How does pricing work?
Every job is quoted before a technician is dispatched. You get a written description of the scope and a price, and we call you before that scope changes. All quotes and invoices are in USD.
Why are there no prices listed on the site?
Mobile work varies too much by unit, location and fault for a published rate to mean anything. Rather than post a number that turns out not to apply, we quote the specific job. Ask for a quote and you will have a real figure to work with.
How do we pay?
By invoice, in USD. When a card payment is taken it is processed by Stripe — Volgram does not store card numbers on its own servers.
Do you offer fleet terms?
Fleet maintenance program customers can be set up on recurring billing. Contact us with the size of your fleet and how you currently handle maintenance and we will scope it.

Diagnostics and programming

Do you do ECM programming?
Yes — calibration updates, programming replacement controllers, and configuring customer parameters such as road speed limits, idle shutdown and PTO settings. This work is performed in compliance with applicable U.S. law.
Will you delete or bypass the emissions system?
No. We do not install, sell or advertise defeat devices, deletes, or calibrations whose principal effect is to bypass required emission controls, and we will decline a request that would require illegal tampering. What we do is diagnose and repair the emissions system so it works as intended — which, in practice, is what resolves most repeat derates.
Another shop replaced parts and the fault came back. Can you help?
That is a large share of what we do. Repeat failures usually mean the original diagnosis stopped at the code. We test the circuit and the live data before recommending any part, so the repair addresses the cause rather than the symptom.
Do I need to have fault codes ready before calling?
It helps but it is not required. Codes plus context — when it started, what the truck was doing, what work was done recently — narrows the diagnosis faster than a code on its own.

Scheduling and warranty

How quickly can you get to a down truck?
It depends on where the unit is and what is already in progress. Call and you will be told a realistic time, not an optimistic one.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Cancel or reschedule at no charge with at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled arrival. After that, or once a technician is already travelling, a dispatch fee may apply. The full terms are on our refund and cancellation policy page.
Is the work warranted?
Unless an invoice states otherwise, labor is warranted as commercially reasonable workmanship for 30 days or 1,000 miles, whichever comes first. Parts follow the manufacturer's warranty. If labor is deficient, we re-perform it.
What happens if you cannot fix it on site?
You get a straight answer and a recommendation. If a unit needs to be towed or needs work beyond what can be done safely at the roadside, we will say so rather than run up hours on a job that will not finish.
